SDPEBA offers three different medical plans to its members, all of which are Sharp HMO plans. Having three choices might make things sound complicated, but it’s fairly straight forward.

The three different plans are: Sharp Classic, Sharp Select, and Sharp Saver. The difference between these plans is in the premiums. Sharp Classic offers the most coverage and in-network locations but has a higher premium. Sharp Select has less in-network locations and coverage than the Classic Plan, but still covers you fairly well. The Saver plan has the smallest network and least amount of coverage but costs the least. Sharp Select has more coverage but costs a bit more than the Saver plan (think of this plan as being in the middle between Saver and Classic). The Sharp Saver plan has the least amount of coverage, but also the lowest premium. If you’re used to tiered health plans, you can think of Sharp Classic as a platinum plan, Sharp Select as gold, and Saver as silver.

SHARP CLASSIC
Sharp Classic gives you solid coverage with predictable costs. It offers a broad network and straightforward benefits so you can get care easily and keep your health plan simple and stress free.
SHARP SAVER
Sharp Saver keeps monthly costs low with a small network and a deductible. After you meet it, you’ll use copays and coinsurance. It’s a budget‑friendly option if you want coverage at the lowest price.
